Abstract

|
Ankle arthrodesis has been performed for the treatment of symptomatic ankle arthritis with reported complications such as nonunion, malunion and nerve injury. Arthroscopic ankle fusion has the advantages of minimal soft tissue damage, short fusion period, high union rate, and early rehabilitation. The authors describe the surgical technique and the advantages and disadvantages of arthroscopically assisted ankle arthrodesis.
